![]() ![]() “We’re becoming divided at a time when we need each other most,” says McKagan. ![]() Encountering heartbreak, anger, fear, confusion and divide on his travels during this tumultuous time in our world history, McKagan channeled a collective hurt into songs of monolithic power. McKagan's new solo album, Tenderness, sees him reflecting on his experiences traveling the globe over two and a half years on Guns N’ Roses’ Not In This Lifetime tour. [We just let him go and he carries a crowd of 50,000 people all along his journey." The cue is when we come out on stage and start playing this thing, and then he'll come back. And there's times his guitar solo will just keep going, and I don't wanna stop him. He'd sit down and talk to you and talk for a while, but he's a man of few words, and his words are all through his guitar. He gets so lost sometimes… we have this part of the set where he does a guitar solo - it's just him on stage - and he gets lost in himself, lost in what he's doing. He gets up, goes to the gym, and just starts playing guitar all the way up to the gig and then plays the guitar. McKagan on Slash: "All he does is play guitar all day long. ![]() Guns N' Roses bassist Duff Mckagan recently guested on Mohr Stories, hosted by actor / comedian Jay Mohr, opening up about his relationships and thoughts on bandmates Axl Rose (vocals) and Slash (guitars). ![]()

![]() If a person were to hang out near the edge of a black hole, where gravity is prodigious, Goldberg says, only a few hours might pass for them while 1,000 years went by for someone on Earth. “Near massive bodies-near the surface of neutron stars or even at the surface of the Earth, although it’s a tiny effect-time runs slower than it does far away,” says Dave Goldberg, a cosmologist at Drexel University. And according to Einstein’s general theory of relativity, gravity also affects clocks: the more forceful the gravity nearby, the slower time goes. The quicker you travel, the slower seconds pass. According to Einstein’s special theory of relativity, time’s flow depends on how fast you’re moving. Time traveling to the near future is easy: you’re doing it right now at a rate of one second per second, and physicists say that rate can change. In fact, the laws of physics might allow chronological hopping, but the devil is in the details. Scientists don’t think this conception is likely in the real world, but they also don’t relegate time travel to the crackpot realm. A leader is one who has the passion and the courage to stand up, stand out and stand for a vision of what’s possible and has the ability to motivate others to join forces to bring it to life. I believe strongly that leadership is not a job level or a title, nor is it a skill set or a process (although these things are important in their place.) Leadership is an attitude.
